2 PARKS: Valuing and Conserving Nature Achieving Conservation Goals, including Marine Theme 1.Raising awareness of country commitments to Aichi Target 11 of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) 2.Work with new and existing partners to highlight the relevance and benefits to people of protected areas 3.Highlight urgency, and track and report progress to 2020 targets and beyond

Various organizations, including federal, provincial, territorial and municipal parks, are actively raising funds for this conference. $1K for attendance North American Inter- Governmental Committee on Cooperation for Wilderness & Protected Areas Conservation (NAWPA) meetings (Mexico, 2016; Canada, 2017; USA 2018) Parks Canada Agency, Mexican National Commission for Natural Protected Areas (CONANP), National Park Service (USNPS), Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) of the U.S.Department of Interior Funds provided by federal PA agencies of Canada, Mexico and the USA. - George Wright Society Conference on Parks, Protected Areas and Cultural Sites, Virginia, USA (April 2-7, 2017). USNPS, Parks Canada, universities. $2.0K for attendance Children and Nature Network International Conference (Kids Need Nature ; Nature Needs Kids) Vancouver (April 18-21, 2017) Children and Nature Network, Canadian Wildlife Federation. $1.0K for attendance
