1 The Aging Face

2 Structural Changes Nose and mouth get BIGGER
Forehead shrinks and slopes back more as the eyes move up Eyes appear smaller Chin tends to become larger and more protrusive. The skin becomes darker, less flexible, rougher, and more leathery lines, wrinkles, folds, pouches, and blemishes or discolorations gradually appear Muscles and connective tissues change their elasticity Fat and bone may be lost to produce pouches in the cheeks, bags under the eyes, sagging under the chin or a double chin.

3 Why Does Your Face Change?
Cartilage continues to grow throughout your life. Loss of Collagen causes skin to become thinner. Constant contraction and relaxation of facial muscles lead to permanent creases (wrinkles) Smoking, poor diet, and tanning make these changes happen sooner and more severely.
