ETE 335 Elementary Social Studies Lesson Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Goals: Students will learn about the Constitution and how it has changed over time Students will be writing their own Constitution for classroom rules Objectives: Content/Knowledge: The students will be able to demonstrate their understanding and knowledge of the Constitution by writing their own version and presenting it to the class Process/Skills: Students will learn how to read old documents Students will demonstrate their understanding by presenting their own modern version Values/Dispositions: Students will discuss the documents, ask questions, and engage in a classroom wide conversation on their interpretations of what they read

The government has changed and been rewritten to what it is today Standards: State – Illinois Common Core or Learning Standards 14.A.2 Explain the importance of fundamental concepts expressed and implied in major documents including the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution and the Illinois Constitution.
