3 Think-Pair-Share  What do you think is going to happen to Big Time?  What do we know about Big Time? What is his problem?  How do we know these things about him?

4 Think-Pair-Share  Does the author ever come right out and say that Big Time has a drug problem?  How do we know that Big Time is a drug addict?  Do you think it is more interesting to learn about a character by having the author tell us directly or by indirect clues? Why?
