To consider what metrics/outputs are used currently within individual HEIs, and by the HE sector more widely, to measure teaching excellence 3. To consider, and make recommendations on, metrics/other measures that might be used to evaluate teaching excellence in any future TEF 4. To inform the BIS TEF Expert Group on the thoughts and recommendations of the HEA PVC Working Group on TEF regarding metrics that might be used in any TEF 5. To report on progress to the HEA DVC/PVC Network 5

LIMITLESS POTENTIAL | LIMITLESS OPPORTUNITIES | LIMITLESS IMPACT PROGRESS SO FAR Meetings of WG held in July and September attended by a large number of PVCs Some members of the WG also are members of the BIS Expert Group on TEF ( Gavin Brooks; Suzanne Cholerton; Fiona Church; Sue Jackson; Jane Longmore; Neil Powell; Belinda Tynan; Stephanie Marshall ) We have fed comments/proposals from HEA PVC Network WG into discussions at the BIS Expert Group Stephanie Marshall sits on a number of key BIS TEF groups (Delivery Group, Expert Group, Working Group …..) Geoff Stoakes working with BIS as part of BIS TEF Expert and Working Groups GB contributing to discussions for assessment framework (BIS TEF Working Group) 6
