To begin this effort, they have requested information on Emergency Calling from IEEE 802.11, TGu. A liaison, including information from the IEEE 802.11u draft, has been prepared and approved by the TGu CRC (5-0-0)

It is gathering information, including: National regulations Current work in IEEE 802.11 The IEEE 802.23 July 2010 meeting minutes (sg-emergency-services-10- 0045-ESSG-wg-minutes-san-diego-july-2010.pdf) includes: “Review of existing ES 802 reporting technologies… 802.11 (AI: George Bumiller)” To assist them, a liaison has been prepared, including emergency calling information from the 802.11u draft specification. Approving this liaison during Monday’s opening plenary will enable it to be provided to IEEE 802.23 before its September meeting starts the following day (Tuesday). The draft liaison, IEEE 11-10/1022r0, has been approved by TGu 5-0-0
