BCT 120 Floor Framing TJI Joists The Silent Floor Related Products

Framing Floors with TJI The truss joist is becoming if not already the preferred choice of most designers and builders for framing floor systems. The light weight joists have the ability to span greater lengths. The joists are straight and exact uniform width. The joists web is made of what was previously a non used garbage wood. With proper installation it produces a strong and squeak free floor.
3
Engineered Wood Products There is almost no limit to the span lengths by increasing size and decreasing on center spacing. Depending on the floor strength desired TJI suppliers will calculate the best material size and spacing.
4
TJI Facts TJI joists should never be walked on before they are secured from rolling. There are important installation rules that must be followed. Openings are somewhat more difficult to frame. Top and bottom chords must never be cut or notched. Installation must follow the engineers plan.
