ETFE is non-adhesive therefore deposits of dirt, dust, and debris do not stick and are washed away by the rain resulting in a “self-cleaning” effect.
Minor repairs to the foil, such as a puncture hole, can be carried out within a relatively short timescale by using an adhesive ETFE foil patch.
 An individual cushion can be easily removed and replaced with minimal disruption to the installation as a whole. The outside surface of the ETFE cushion can be accessed by technicians, using rope access techniques, from the main structural steel support.
