4. American History Friday, September 18, 2015 Objective SWBT will apply note-taking skills about important people and events of the Reconstruction era based on a Powerpoint presentation. DO NOW You have learned about how the Civil War split the country, how hundreds of thousands of people were killed in a single battle, and how the South lost. You have also learned about Reconstruction after the war and how some wanted to punish the South and some didn’t. This became even worse after Lincoln was assassinated. Use your notes to list the three different plans for Reconstruction, who supported them, and what happened to President Andrew Johnson because of the disagreements.
