2 What is Great Britain? Great Britain (GB) is the largest island in Europe. It has a population of over 60 million people. Great Britain, together with Northern Ireland is called the United Kingdom (UK).

There are different types of traditional cuisine in Wales, England and Scotland. From Wales: Cawl (Soup) From England: English Breakfast and toad in the hole From Scotland: haggis, neeps, and tatties (potatoes)

6 Food: The Sunday Roast Every Sunday thousands of British families sit down together to eat a big meal with roasted meat served with roast potatoes, vegetables and other foods.

7 Food: Fish and Chips Fish and chips is a popular
take-away food in Great Britain.

8 British Tea Culture The most popular tea in Great Britain is black tea and is usually made with milk.The tea is often accompanied with scones, jam and clotted cream which is called Devonshire tea.

9 Sports:Rugby There are two types of rugby in GB, one is called rugby league and the other is called rugby union. Rugby league is more popular in northern England but rugby union is played more in the rest of GB. Famous British rugby player Jonny Wilkinson

10 Sports: Cricket The Ashes is a Test cricket series played between England and Australia since It is one of the most celebrated rivalries in international cricket and is currently played biennially, alternately in England and Australia. 11 Sports: Football Football is the most popular sport in GB. Some of England's football teams are world famous, the most famous being Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

13 The Queen of England Elizabeth II is the queen of England, Scotland, and Wales (Great Britain). She is known for her Corgi dogs.

London is the biggest city in GB and in all of Europe. It’s known for its double-decker buses, Big Ben and the Tower Bridge among many other sites. It’s located on the River Thames.
