1 Warm-up Solve:

2 EOCT Review Which of the following is the graph of a cubic? c

3 EOCT Review Given the graph below, which of the following are true?
f (x) is increasing on the interval 1 < x < 3. f (x) has exactly 2 zeros from -1 ≤ x ≤ 5. III) f (x) is decreasing on the interval 0 < x < 2. IV) f (x) has a local maximum at x = 3. d I and II b) I and III c) I and IV d) I, II, and IV

4 EOCT Review Find the 25th term of the sequence 7, 11, 15, 19, 23, ...
103 b) 104 c) d) 111 a

5 3.12 Intersection of Graphs
Algebraically – Get all terms on one side and solve. The easiest thing to do is to plug in 1 and -1 (or 2 and -2) if you get the same y, then it’s Even. If you get the opposite y, then it’s Odd. If you get different y’s, then it’s Neither. Graphically – Graph each function separately and look for the points where they cross.

6 Ex. 1 f(x) = 2x + 5, g(x) = 3x - 2 Graphically Algebraically

7 Ex. 2 f(x) = 2x2 - 3, g(x) = x2 – 2x Graphically Algebraically
