2 Ready for the Journey? Here’s two Questions:
Are you a Follower of Jesus Christ? In other words: Have you ever chose Him and asked him to save you?  If not, I suggest going to my Romans Road to Salvation and going through that Journey first. Transformation of a life is a major challenge, and results in major changes. The root of a life transformation is ‘Belief’. What you choose to believe, and confess will set the direction of your life. Will you choose God’s path for your life, or will you choose the world’s?

3 Getting ready for the Journey?
The Romans Road to Transformation is for every believer of Christ. It does not matter if you are a new Believer in Christ, or if you have been Growing in your faith for 50 years. The truth in this Transformation message never gets out of date. We need to review it often.

4 Stop 1: Romans 1:6 “And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.” According to this verse, who do you belong to now? Why will this make a difference in your behavior? Change the way you think about yourself. You belong to God, in Christ! Through Christ, and because of Christ and his great Name, Paul calls people to believe and obey the message of God. Now that you have received the Gift of Jesus Christ and Eternal Life, you ‘Belong’! You belong to God in Christ. You belong to a new family.

5 Stop 1cont: Romans 1:6 “And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.” Family members have a great privilege – you get to enjoy all that God’s family enjoys. You need to believe that you belong to the family; you are loved as a member of a wonderful family. You need to believe that you belong to Christ. This is important because you will go through times in life when you won’t feel like you belong (or maybe even want to belong), but you need to believe it, because God’s word says it. Knowing and trusting that you ‘Belong to Christ’ is important for your transformation.

6 Stop 2: Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” To be condemned means to be sent for punishment for a crime. According to this verse, how much God-induced Condemnation will ‘you’ receive now? Believe and trust that God does not have punishment waiting for you in eternity. You will not be punished after this life since you belong to Christ. Condemnation for our sin (past, present, and future sin) is what we deserve, but we won’t get what we deserve. When you received Jesus, he received you, and the bible says He covered All your sin. He took your sin and paid for it on the cross. This verse gives us great hope and peace; it frees us from any dread after this life. Being free from fear is important for your transformation. This truth should cause you to have a growing love and thankfulness to your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Transformation depends on your ‘Love’ for God in Jesus Christ.

7 Stop 3: Romans 8:29 “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.” According to this verse, what does God have planned for you regarding ‘transformation’ in you? Believe that God has planned for you to be like Christ. I have spoken of being transformed, but…Transformed to what? This verse clearly reveals that God has a plan for you to be transformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ. God has had a great plan for you, even before you existed. He is God! God has always known you, but you have not always known God. Jesus is our perfect example of a child of God. You need to like what Jesus likes, dislike what Jesus dislikes, talk like Jesus talked, love like Jesus loved, and worship like Jesus worshiped. In this strange way we are like Jesus’ siblings, He is like an older brother. It’s important to believe that God ‘promises’ to transform you as you trust in Him.

8 Stop 4: Romans 4:20-21 “But Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.” According to these verses, how does God want us to respond (believe) to his plans. Believe that God will do what he promises for his Children. This verse is about Abraham, the patriarch, the Father of our faith. Abraham is being praised for trusting that God would do what God promised. God had a plan for Abraham, and Abraham believed Him and Obeyed Him. Please, don’t misunderstand, Abraham was not perfect, (he fell short on many fronts), but he trusted God and proved it when he eventually offered his Son Isaac on the altar. It’s important for you to believe that God’s plan and promise to you is for you to be like His Son Jesus. He has the Power to transform you now (on earth), if you are willing to let him.

9 Stop 5: Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” According to these verses, what do you offer him? What actions (behavior) are you to participate in? What behavior are you to stop? Believe that the best thing for you is to live for Christ. Believe that you have the ability to stop conforming to this world. Believe in God’s Word, and intentionally allow God’s Word to reprogram your mind. Believe that God’s will is Good, and there is nothing better. Here you have it: God says to be transformed. And he gives you the process. It first starts with you completely offering yourself to God (a living sacrifice). Don’t hold anything back from Him. Give him your all.

10 Stop 5 cont: Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Decide to protect your body from things that contaminate yourself, for you are God’s, and you are holy. If you offer all, He will be pleased (it makes God happy). To worship God really means to give all to him: heart, soul, mind, and strength. In your past (prior to Christ) you were conforming to the world, but now you must stop if you want to allow God to Transform you. Don’t believe the lies that this world is promoting. I know that you believe many things that are not God’s truth (The one and only Truth). Now, you are to start putting effort into reprogramming your mind, with His truth. God’s Truth is the fuel to ‘Transformation’.

11 Stop 5 cont: Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” You are now to believe what God says, and you are not to put stock into what the world says (about right and wrong), or even rely on what you think up yourself. You are to trust Him (His word) for what you choose to believe. How: Read the bible, get involved in the bible studies, listen to good teachers, memorize scripture then think about it a lot. Listen to music with God’s message. As you progress in your transformation you will start to see that God’s will is ‘Good’, ‘Pleasing’, and ‘Perfect’. You will also start to recognize God’s will more quickly.

12 Stop 6: Romans 11:36 “For from him and through him and to him are all things.  To him be the glory forever! Amen.” According to this verse: Who is it all about? Who gets the credit (Glory)? So Why? Why you?....Why transform? It’s all God, It’s all for His Glory! Your life is for Him. Allowing Him to transform you is for Him (it’s not just for you to live a happy meaningful life). This sounds OK at first, then you realize that to be transformed in to Christ’s likeness is all about your willingness to give up your life. Does this sound familiar: Jesus Christ himself.

13 Stop 6 Cont: Romans 11:36 “For from him and through him and to him are all things.  To him be the glory forever! Amen.” Most people, who claim to be Christians, never allow God to transform them into Christ’s likeness, even after an entire life time. How sad for them, and how sad for God. I challenge you to be different. I challenge you to first believe with all your heart, that God wants to transform you, it’s His will. Allow Him to transform you the rest of your life.

14 Will You allow God to Transform You?
If yes, then pray something like this: Dear Lord, I believe your word. Help me to believe every truth in it. I choose to believe you have a great plan for me: To be Transformed into the likeness of Christ. Jesus, I choose to receive what you want for me. I give my all to you! (heart, soul, mind and strength). I will allow you to work in my life. I will do my best to put your word in my mind. Thank you for having good plans for my life. Amen

15 If your answer is NO or NOT NOW:
Remember the Lord still loves you. He died for you so that you can have abundant life. I pray that you will change your mind. Ask God to change your heart. Don’t waist another minuet outside of His will for you.

16 Transformed people Share:
You are different now. And you can make a difference in the life of others. Don’t be afraid to tell people about your wonderful salvation story and about your Lord. God will use His Transformed Followers. May God Bless, Les Reid BlessingInc.com
