There are four main pillars of EF today: language learning, cultural exchange, and academic programs, and educational travel.
Language learning:
Englishtown –the leading provider of business English Language training solutions for companies.
Englishtown currently works with over 1,000 companies in 75 different countries.
We were the international language provider for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and we are also proud to announce that we are the official language provider for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. This means that we will train thousands of volunteers and athletes in English.
International Language Schools throughout the world where language learners go to immerse themselves in the language and culture and also participate in community service projects. .
Cultural exchange:
Foundation- the non profit arm of EF which provides opportunities for international students from 20 different countries to come to the US and live for a year with a host family and attend an American high school.
Academic programs:
Hult – International business school that offers a 1 year MBA or masters program with schools in Boston, Dubai, London and Shanghai. Hult is ranked among the Financial Times’ Top 100 business schools.
Educational Tours:
Smithsonian Student Travel – allows teachers and students to explore North America on tours enhanced by the vast resources of the Smithsonian Institution.
EF Educational Tours – This is our international tours division, which is the type of tour we are talking about today. This is mainly geared toward high school age groups but more middle school groups are now traveling on these tours.

As a result of having all of these products we have developed a worldwide presence and now have hundreds of offices and schools in over 50 different countries.
I’m telling you this because EF is much bigger than most people realize, this is imp for 2 reasons:

First, EF is the first and only international travel company to be accredited by six leading educational organizations, including CITA — the same organizations that accredit your school. In fact, we were just re-accredited last spring, which means our programs meet or exceed the same vigorous educational standards as the country’s best schools. … What this means for you and your students is we can grant credit:
• High school students can earn 1 high school elective credit after completing coursework associated with your tour
• Also, through a unique partnership with Eastern Washington University, EF is able to offer college credit for traveling on tour
• Educators can earn professional development credit, or Continuing Education Units, for coursework associated with your tour
• We also now offer special Professional Development Study Tours for educators to travel together and earn credit.
In addition to being accredited, EF also:
• Is a Strategic Council Member of the Partnership for 21st Century Skills. Illinois/Ohio, no Indiana. 3 R’s and 4 C’s… creativitiy/innoviation, collaboration, communication, critical thinking/innovation.
• Maintains strategic educational alliances with some of the biggest names in education, such as
• PBS — Including curriculum and lesson plans from PBS Teachers
• AP — We offer several special EF Enrichment Tours for AP, including European History, English Literature, Spanish Language and Chinese Language and Culture.
• Model U.N. — Special tour visits New York to tour the U.N. and have a U.N. simulation exercise, then goes to Paris and Geneva to tour U.N. facilities in Europe
