2. What is it? The imperfect is one of many past tenses in Spanish.
It is one of the tenses that you will be expected to use in your exams in order to achieve a C or above.
It is also one of the easiest tenses to form in Spanish (you’ll be happy to know).

The imperfect tense is used to describe ongoing actions in the past, things that happened over a long period of time – I went on holiday to Spain every year.
It is used when describing events/things in the past – it was hot/she was nice.

7. Irregulars
Luckily for you there are only 3 irregular verbs in the imperfect tense. However, they are 3 of the most important verbs so make sure that you learn them.
