4. The subject of a verb is the person or thing which performs the action of that verb: Gordon travaille. Gordon is working. Mes parents habitent en Espagne. My parents live in Spain. La voiture ne veut pas démarrer. The car won't start.

To ask someone you know well if he/she likes something use the familiar form:

To ask someone you do not know well of is older than you are if he/she likes something, use the formal form:
Aimez-vous…?

13. Et toi? “Et toi?” directly translates as “And you?”.
Use the phrase “et toi?” to respond and engage in conversation.
Example:
Très Bien Spongebob.
Et toi?
Salut, Patrick!
Comment ca va?
Très bien, merci!

Sometimes in a sentence we do not use subject pronouns, but names of people to indicate who is doing the action

Be careful to count how many people are performing the action in order to place the correct verb ending on your stem.
