2 Our students Primary school: 6 – 13 years old 1. – 2. grade 3.-4. grade 5.-6. grade 7. grade One integrated disabled boy 16 years old

3 Our vision and characteristics VISION: Øvrebygda school should be confident and with high quality and professonal challenges CHARACTERISTICS: Doing activities together Lot of space both indoor and outside Traditional teaching Good relationship with the parents Few of the parents have academic background

4 New curriculum 2006 Earlier curriculum – saying what the teachers are going to teach The new curriculum- telling us what the students are going to learn Goals for knowledge after 2. 4. and 7. grade

5 Our development plan Focus on: 1. Working with assessment for learning(no marks in the primary school in Norway) 2. The school as a cultural meeting place in the village 3. Using computer in the education(we have not come far)

6 Your visit 9 -9.20 The local principal of school Edvin Aase and headmaster Sigbjørn Aarland inform you 9.20 -9.30 Guided tour at school 9.30 – 10.00 Visiting the students in 5.6.7.classes 10.00 -1025 Break 10.30 – 11.00 Performance in the gymnasium
