Naniki ‘to be active’ or ‘spirit’ Taino language: http://www.taino-tribe.org/tedict.htmlhttp://www.taino-tribe.org/tedict.html The Caribbean Sea 2050

A pelican dives into the sea and transforms into a flying fish. In the flurry we also see an air being transforming into a water being. The flying fish is his naniki. http://ultravioletfineart.comhttp://ultravioletfineart.com Bev Simons

Amana (girl Niara) meets Skelele (transformed boy Niara) and they escape their elders and initiation training to explore an island they both dreamt of... http://www.pixelsumo.com/post/underwater-sculpture-park Artist Jason Taylor, Grenada.http://www.pixelsumo.com/post/underwater-sculpture-park

They travel forward in time to Boriken (Puerto Rico) ‘Land of the Valiant and Noble Lord’ and then the Dominican Republic and Haiti. http://ptwc.weather.gov/?region=4 The Caribbean Sea 2050 2075 2100 The Blue Hole - Niara ‘nest’

When Amana and Skelele step onto these mechanized islands they transform into futuristic earth beings but their water and air skills allow them to see island pasts and traditions.

As they explore and discover their human emotions, an oil spill explodes and the ‘global leaders’ together with ‘tourism’ and ‘economic development’ (characterized) threatens the Caribbean Sea, the islands, their species and all organic life forms.

On their journey South they surface in St Lucia, 2050 Grenada, 19 th century Tobago, 18 th century going further back in time... through particular island features and situations. Georgie Tuscon, Carriacou

They enter the Bocas, the Dragons Mouth (between Trinidad and Venezuela) and the sea becomes a dragon. It spits them out into the Gulf of Paria - Trinidad 15 th Century. They feel their way into the Orinoco delta - 7 th Century And are washed back out to the Guyana coast – Early AD

As Amana and Skelele continue on their mission with their naniki animal familiar, a Manatee, a huge Arapaima fish... they must face historical, natural and, more often, mystical challenges up the Essequibo river, deep into the interior of Guyana, BC. Oriyu: George Simon, Guyana

As they fall deeper and deeper in love, they also face knowing that they could never be together. Each is a future leader and responsible for their different worlds (Sky and Sea). Atop Mt Roraima, the ‘moment of truth’ reveals that what they seek is within them, not in a wizened ancient. Love, and the ability to synergistically connect with every living cell around them, fuses them into fully empowered, extraordinary adults. www.guyanagraphic.com/wordpresswww.guyanagraphic.com/wordpress © Frank Rowe

They fly straight back to the Caribbean Basin, into battle with the oil monstrosity. Shaman’s Journey along the Milky Way: George Simon

It is a long and hard fight. Amana and Skelele are blasted to bits in their final attempt. But the monster is also destroyed. ….along the Milky Way, Hummingbird appears: George Simon

The glittering pieces of Amana and Skelele fall, healing and recreating clean seas, healthy life forms and natural islands. Marine boy Enal with his pet shark: James Morgan http://jamesmorganphotography.co.uk/

Joyous sea, air currents and creatures celebrate, pushing Amana and Skelele’pieces together and they re-create each other, in embrace. They kiss and part ways, disappearing away in the sky and the sea. Until, like in the beginning of the story, all we can see is their active spirit or naniki - a pelican and fish.
