2 Directions: 1.Work in groups. 2.Read & discuss each clue – excerpt. 3.List what your team thinks are the American ideals. 4. When you think you have them, have one group member raise their hand. 5. More clues will continue to be provided every few minutes until one team has identified ALL of the ideals correctly.

7 The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.
