PAST SOCIAL EVENT: BONITA KIWANIS BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING 4 members of the club attended We learned how a Board of Directors meeting works 4

PAST SERVICE EVENT: POINT LOMA GARDEN HELP We had 5 members come to the event Anyone have any experience they’d like to share ? 5

SOCIAL EVENT: KEY TO COLLEGE Who: Anyone in Key Club What: Members (especially juniors and seniors) can learn how to get scholarships from the club and tips in how to get into college When: February 2 nd from 9am – 5:30pm Where: UCSD A better reason why to go: The theme is Disney Villains! Members who attend are encouraged to dress up 6

SOCIAL EVENT: DCON Who: Key Clubbers throughout the Cali-Neva-Ha district What: It’s a District Convention held annually for the transition of new officers, lieutenant governors, board, etc. When: March 22 nd -24 th Where: Anaheim Convention Center Why: to better your leadership skills and improve your understanding of what Key Club is about in a fun and exciting environment Other info: registration will be $163 (due February 1 st ) The rest of the cost is yet TBA But do not fear your officers are here!!!!! We have been looking over our funds and thoughtfully been planning how we can lower the cost and this price will be lowered as soon as a budget has been approved 7

SERVICE EVENT: POINT LOMA GARDEN HELP Volunteers needed to help out at a garden What: We will probably be helping out in the garden with native plants. Make sure to bring clothes you can get dirty in. No tools needed. Who: Anyone who needs/wants hours, member or non member! When: Sunday February 2 nd and Sunday February 17 th Where: Mendocino Blvd & Greene St, San Diego, CA 92107 (Or look up Collier Park) IMPORTANT: PLEASE INDICATE ON THE SIGN IN SHEET IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE AND WANT TO GO 8

SERVICE EVENT: MERMAID HALF MARATHON Who: Anyone, member or non-member What: It’s a all woman run hosted by the Mermaid Series When: February 9 th from 6am – 12pm Where: Tecolote Shores North – Mission Bay How: We are going to help cheer on the runners or pass out water to them Important: Please indicate whether you can attend, we need to finalize numbers soon! 9

FUNDRAISER EVENT: FOOD FAIR What: Self explanatory, there is going to be a food fair at school When: April 20 th How: We are going to be selling churros! Important: If you can help make posters/advertise during the day of food fair, let one of the officers know! 10

FUNDRAISER EVENTS: COINS This will be for the coin related fundraisers going on March of Dimes Miracle Mile of Quarters May 4 th, more info. TBA Pennies for PTP Nickels for Prenatal with Division 31 11

CLUB ELECTIONS PLEASE READ! Club Elections are coming up, if you are interested in becoming an officer, please check off on the sign in sheet and please grab a form at the end of the meeting! Who: any member of the club, paid or nonpaid What: this is when we choose who will be officers for the term of 2013 – 2014 When: Friday February 1 st during lunch Where: Room 310 How: Fill in a sheet in regards to the position you are interested in Why: 12

As mentioned, we were going to vote on a club shirt The winner is: KERK ANG! Price for shirts will be determined after we get a rough estimate of how many people will purchase it We’re hoping to be around $10-15 13 MISC: CLUB SHIRTS

MISC: BOARD OF DIRECTORS We have now chosen our board of directors for the remaining term of 2012 – 2013 First official meeting is today, afterschool Guest are welcomed to come! Especially if interested in becoming part of board sometime in the future! 14
