1 West Boca Key Club September

2 Key Club Pledge I pledge, on my honor, to uphold the Objects of Key Club International; to build my home, school and community; to serve my nation and God; and combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions.

3 What is Key Club? Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. It is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through service to others. We are the largest Key Club in the state of Florida.

4 Why Join Key Club? Looks great for college applications
Helping out in your community Making a difference in lives of others Fulfill community service graduation and scholarship requirements Make new friends Have fun

5 September Events Clothing drive for migrant workers. (Sept.4-Sept. 18)
Campus clean up. (September 9) Parent Night. (September 10, only the first 50 TLEs will be accepted…sophomores, juniors, and seniors only. 5:30-8:00) Heart Start Walk. (September 28, West Palm Beach. 6:30 AM- 11:00 AM)

6 October Events Loggers Run Band Dinner. (October 3)
Meeting and PB&J for the Homeless. (October 7) Freshman and Sophomores bring bread, Juniors bring peanut butter, Seniors bring jelly. Canned Food Drive (October 8- 22) Campus clean up (October 14) Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. (October 26, Mizner Park) Give Kids The World candy drive. (Ends November 8) Nothing with gum!

7 November 1st Rule You must have done one Key Club event or a drive by November 1st in order to stay a member of Key Club. What is a Service hour? A service-hour constitutes any hour of service performed by an individual Key Club member with the approval of his/her club’s board of directors. Meetings don’t count! Activities done after the meetings count as service hours.

8 How to Get the Application
Print all pages Notarize the medical consent form Dues are $25 (includes the shirt) Due by September 20. Bring completed applications to room 5203 before or after school only.

10 Committees If you are interested in chairing any of these committees, stay after the meeting. Eliminate/ major emphasis Kiwanis Family relations Walks/ Relay For Life Migrant Drives

11 Want To Be A Freshman Representative?
If you are a freshman and are interested in being on the executive board as a freshman class representative stay after the meeting.
