21 Summary of Part 3 1.All are to serve (diakonos) 2.All are to look out (skopos) for each other 3.We grow in our service and ‘watching out’ for each other 4.13 was the beginning of ‘adulthood’ and was called upon to read in the synagogue. 5. 30 was considered ‘age of completion’ 6. Remember the men were given great responsibility at the age of 30: Joseph, the Priests, David, John, Jesus the Apostles 7.Many Jewish men at the age of 30 would have children who reached ‘adulthood’. 8.Elders lead the synagogue and temple 9.Jesus and the Apostles, about the age of 30-33, were called to be elders of the first church. 10. Timothy and Titus appointed elders to set the churches in order.
