A fast runner was born to be fast, it doesn’t matter how much they practice or what kind of food they eat. 3. A shy person was born to be shy. It doesn’t matter what kind of childhood or environment they grew up in. The child’s environment, and culture, TEACH a child to be the way they are. The child is born with certain genes and this never changes. Answer: The three traits of intelligence, speed, and shyness are all determined by both genes and environment. The genes are like the “seed” and the environment is like the “soil” it grows in. (15 min)
