4 Coefficient  Tells you the quantity of a variable. You must have a variable in order to have a coefficient.

5 Variable  An unknown value or quantity. Represented by using letters such as x or y, or by symbols such as    

6 Any variable without a number in front of it has an understood coefficient of 1.

7 Constant  a number without a variable tied to it.

8 Combine Like Terms Circle each term including the operation sign in front of it. Think of your Integer Rules!
