5. What is ICT ? The term, “Information and Communication Technologies” (ICT) refers to forms of technologies that are used to create, store, share or transmit, exchange information. UNESCO’s World Communication and Information Report 5

ICT integration is the use of technology resources (computers, mobile devices like smartphones and tablets, digital cameras, social media platforms and networks, software applications, the Internet, etc.) in daily classroom practices, and in the management of a school. 7. How were the ICT standards developed? The MOE ICT Integration Curriculum Framework was developed after reviewing the following documents: National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) CARICOM ICT learning outcomes for Primary Schools in the Caribbean Toronto District School Board ICT standards Digital Learning for Kindergarten to Grade 12 ICT Australia among other documents 7
