2 What is Geocaching? Geocaching is a worldwide scavenger hunt that’s sweeping the nation and classroom by storm. Geocaching is a app that allows you to find treasures nearby just by using your phone or iPad.

4 What does it mean to go Geocaching? By using the app on your phone or iPad you go searching for hidden treasures in different areas such as parks and other open areas. Once you find the treasure, you can either take something or leave something. But make sure you sign the book to let others know you have visited that spot.

6 How to use Geocaching Make a free account. Place your location in the box provided.

7 How to use Geocaching cont. Add your filters: Choose the type of Geocache you are wanting to find. You can even choose the level of difficulty to finding your geocache.

8 How to use Geocaching cont. Choose your location that’s closest (or farthest) from you.

9 How to use Geocaching Read the detailed description on finding your treasure. Then let the searching begin.

10 Extra things to know You can log your visits so that you can see how many places you have been. Some locations gives you hints to help you find your treasure a little easier. You can communicate with the owner of the Geocache.
