8. 8. Have you ever had any enemies or just someone who didn't think highly of you?

9. 9. Have you ever lived near someone that lost their job, or had a pet that died, or had a family member that died, or that got sick, or plants that wouldn ’ t grow?

10. 10. Have you ever gone out for a walk by yourself after nightfall ?

11. 11. Has there ever been a hail storm or even a wicked thunder storm in the same area that you live?

12. Answering yes to just one of these questions would have got you tried, persecuted, tortured and either hung or burned at a stake between the dates of 1100-1700.

13. Men, women, children, the elderly, the disabled and even pets all ended up as victims during the Witch Craze, aka The Burning Times...

14. …but most of the victims were women.

15. They tended to be: - old widowed women - out-spoken younger women - sexually promiscuous women - richer or more powerful women

16. They were accused of fornicating with the Devil. Under torture, they often admitted to participating in forms of "the black mass"

17. More middle-aged women than any other group were tortured and killed though.
