2 Student Affairs Mission Statement TO BECOME CONSISTENT WITH THE GOALS AND MISSION OF NORTH UNIVERSITY, THE STUDENT AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT DEALS WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS WITH THE END GOAL OF STUDENT PROGRESS DURING THEIR ENTIRE STAY AT THE UNIVERSITY. THE STUDENT AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT PROVIDES CONSIDERABLE SERVICES, COURSES, AND SUPPORT THAT FACILITATE THE GROWTH AND SUCCESS OF STUDENTS. THE STUDENT AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT AIMS TO COMPLY WITH THE PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD OF THE UNIVERSITY. THE DEPARTMENT AIMS TO OFFER THE BEST SERVICES, COURSES AND PERSONNEL TO ATTAIN ITS MISSION.

3 Student Affairs Goals Offer support to students as they adapt to the life in a university. Offer support to students during the orientation period. Offer guidance services to students in choosing their future career as professionals. Offer students the opportunity to join organizations and clubs. Offer leadership training seminars to students. Offer opportunities to join sports activities. Offer support to students in attaining success in their academic life. Offer different programs for students within the campus. Offer awards that recognize achievements of students in academic or athletic endeavors

4 Student Developm ent Philosophy The Student Affairs Department has the responsibility of becoming aware of the different needs of every student, providing assistance to students in attaining academic success, and discover their own identity. Student Affairs professionals should provide guidance to students from their freshman year until their graduation. Student development should be treated individually. As a result, it is essential to take into consideration the individuality of each student and assist them to develop and achieve academic success based on their individual capabilities.
