Inspection Results Fill out inspection sheet Review items needed prior to issuing an Authorization to Operate Have installer sign with OSSF installer license number All paperwork must be in hand of inspector prior to ATO, will not accept “I can fax it to you, you will have it on your desk before you get back to the office” We do not discourage an installer from questioning the rules. Nobody is perfect and these are perfect opportunities to make a better installer/inspector. If it passed, you’re done, Authorization to Operate granted. 23. Re-Inspections Will need to set up the 2 nd (3 rd, 4 th, etc.) inspection just like the first, by calling it in or via website Only the items that were lacking during the previous inspection will be reinspected. Corrections required are called out in paperwork from initial inspection. If at first you don’t succeed, try try again. But in Harris County, after your second inspection, you will pay for all additional inspections until you pass. We will charge you what it costs us to re-inspect. The first two inspections are included in your permit fee.
