The Gospel is the way of peace with God because it is FROM God
Jesus is our PEACE
Ephesians 2:13-14
“ But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us

3. We have been JUSTIFIED by God through Jesus Christ
God CHANGED our position
Romans 5:9-10
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

4. This peace does not depend on CIRCUMSTANCE
When we walk in OBEDIENCE we walk in His peace
Colossians 3:15-16
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

5. It can destroy the HOSTILITY in man and gives us the peace of God.
Isaiah 52:7
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!”

Philippians 1:27
“Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;”

9. Faith is our ABSOLUTE confidence in God.

1 Corinthians 2:16
“ For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.”

13. Our mind must be TRANSFORMED
Romans 12:2
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

14. Living life by the mind of Christ enables us to:
DISCERN the Will of God in our Daily Life
APPLY the Word of God
Allows the voice of the Holy Spirit to be CLEAR in our walk with Him

15. The Helmet of Salvation brings SECURITY of our Salvation
Satan wants us to doubt our salvation
Doubt makes us INDECISIVE
It was the Soldiers thinking ability which was the most important factor in determining his victory or defeat
