The appeal to logos is that you shouldn’t drive drunk. One reason you shouldn’t drive drunk is because alcohol blurs your senses and operating a piece of machinery such as a car could be especially life- threatening. Driving drunk could kill or severely injure anyone. WHAT IS THE APPEAL TO LOGOS?

The appeal to ethos in the image is that driving drunk could also hurt someone else. A drunk person driving could cause a fatal accident and kill another person, and that person’s family would grieve because of the irresponsibility of one drunk driver. WHAT IS THE APPEAL TO ETHOS?

The appeal to pathos in the image is that a death is always tragic and sudden. There are many families who have suffered the loss of a loved one killed by a drunk driver, and there are families whose family member was the drunk driver themselves. WHAT IS THE APPEAL TO PATHOS?

The audience for this picture is anyone who is old enough to drive and the individuals who ride with anyone who can drive. WHO IS THE AUDIENCE?

The creators of this image are the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). MADD is an organization of mothers who help prevent people from causing fatalities because of drunk driving. WHO CREATED THE IMAGE?

If the text was omitted from the image, the relevance of the ad as a whole would be gone. The text in this picture represents everything that is happening. Without the words, this picture would look like a normal funeral. WHAT IF THERE WAS NO TEXT?

Yes, the image is balanced because the deceased person’s friends are lined up with two on each side of the casket, each with a sad expression on their faces, they all wear a gray suit, and the colors are symmetrical. IS THE IMAGE BALANCED?

The use of dark, neutral colors help to emphasize the negativity of the situation. The sunlight is only shining on the casket with the deceased person, showing that he is the reason why he ended up in the casket. WHY DARK, NEUTRAL COLORS?
