1 Wednesday September 3, 2014 Write in your agenda: ●Quick List ●Making Inferences ●Questioning ●Homework: Read for AR for 30 minutes. Finish questions over Chocolate passage.

2 Quick List ●You are going to listen as I prompt you to jot down some memories. ●Get out a piece of notebook paper and number 1-12. ●For 1,2 &3 write down words or phrases that remind you of moments in your life when you were proud of someone. ●For 4, 5, & 6 write down moments in your life when you had to struggle in some way. ●For 7, 8, & 9 list the memories you would choose to keep if the rest of your memory was being erased. ●For 10 write a memory involving an animal. ●For 11 write a memory involving a gift you gave someone else. ●For 12 write down a time when someone gave you money any memory about money.

3 Making Inferences We will be adding three pages to our interactive notebooks today. In the table of contents we will add these titles and page numbers listed below. 9-2-14 Who's My Neighbor page 14 9-2-14 Making Inferences page 15 9-2-14 The Garden of Abdul Gasazi page 16

4 The Garden of Abdul Gasazi I am going to read you the book The Garden of Abdul Gasazi and as I do we are going to stop and record our inferences or evidence based on what I have given you. This will go on page 16 of our interactive notebook.

5 Questioning In the interactive notebook we will be adding Types of Questions. 9-3-14- Types of Questions-Page 17

6 The Loch Ness Monster As a class we will read The Loch Ness Monster and practice answering the different question types.

7 Chocolate : The Happy Food(or, Take Your Medicine) You are going to independently read the article about chocolate and answer the before, during, and after questions in complete sentences. If you do not finish this is homework to be turned in tomorrow at the beginning of class!!!!
