A2-A5: The drawing has been revised (minor changes), the bid has been approved by INFN management and the invitation letter to the companies will be sent soon. We should finalize the bid by the end of 2009 Time for vessels deliverable based on Fantini estimation: 1° vessel after 3 months (march 2010), 2°-4° one each month Drawings for A6-A8 (Fabrizio) are ready and the internal validation is going on (Fabrizio, Riccardo for internal geometry, Cesidio for tooling (see Fabrizio and Riccardo presentation) A1-A12 body 3d drawing for TD are ready (Cesidio) and a first sketch of LAV-STRAW interface and LAV12-CHOD-IRC is done We want to have all the drawings ready for beginning 2010 to prepare the bid for A6-A12

Internal vessel structure: 12 gluing machines (4 side) are ready, this will allow to glue 12 crystals per day New tyvek design and related tool, it consist of an envelope shaped has the lead glass, solded along one side. It will be prepared separately. We are preparing a dedicated table to wrap the lead glass. Banana support plates has been revised for better cabling and handling, production will start soon Improve cabling and fiber routing ( HV cables and fiber with different lengths, ) 14 lead glass boxes will arrive at LNF this week and we will start to glue, wrap and test them.

3d SIMPLIFIED MODELS of LAV for Na62 VACUUM TANK LAYOUT In the Vacuum Tank we have three sizes of LAV: LAV 1.2.3.4.5LAV 6.7.8 LAV 9.10.11 For each size of LAV we have the corrisponding Sliding Ring (Module Zero Size) Body Support Man Hole Pump Port Feedthrough Beam C. 7 Ribs A VERY PRELIMINARY STUDY OF LAV-STRAW TUBE INTERFACE Flange with extension And Conical Rings for Sliding Connection Flange for Fixed Connection We made a simplified 3d model of LAV-STRAW interface ( with diameter reduction ): -Considering it a third part (from beatch file) -Drawing it like a blue tube extra short -With a sliding connection on the LAV side -With a Fixed connection on the Straw side. Note Ther’is enough space (>100 mm) to insert screws and turn them by wrench on the smaller flange

MAN HOLE / PUMP CONNECTION ORIENTATION Man Hole on the Module Zero - Horizontal Orientation - Proposal of Valeri: Man Hole vertical on the bottom for Lifted LAV: -Better Access for people -Better working condition for vacuum pumps LAV Installed on Concrete Blocks Man Hole C. Capoccia LNF-INFN T.D. Meeting 28.10.2009

MAN HOLE / PUMP CONNECTION ORIENTATION We have done a preliminary study about to rotate the Man Hole in order to have a Better Man Access and Pump working condition, but If we change the orientation of Man Hole of 90° we will have to change also the Cabling. So what we are considering now is to rotate the Man Hole with a smaller angle: from 35° to 50° with the follew geometry, in this way we will have a light impact on cabling: R COMPROMISE Smaller angle rotation: From 35° to 50° Cables are running on the internal surface with symmetrical path. 13 LAV 12 GROUP (Preliminary) Installation Area Handling Area Possible Scenario... We have to consider the possibility to support the LAV12 group on Rails to be able to move it from a ‘Handling Area’ (Na60 Area) to the Installation Area. C. Capoccia LNF-INFN T.D. Meeting 28.10.2009
