1. Click on UP staff

2. Username email address of lecturer (name.surname@up.ac.za Password: personnel number of lecturer without p (1297328)

3. Click on My Subject

4. Add new subject if needed

5. Click on the correct course code

6. Choose relevant information and submit form

7. Click on OK

8. To add a book on your list: Click on Search Books

9. Click on basic search to search for the book on the database

10. Enter the ISBN, title or author of the book Click on search

11. Make sure the title is correct and click on the title. Select the box if it is a prescribed book If you cannot find the correct title email your request Bookdata will contact you

12. Add the title to the basket Verify if the book Is available in our library

13. Click on OK

14. Click on My Basket

15. Click on the appropriate title Add to the booklist Continue

16. Click on the box to select as a prescribed title Unmarked titles will be recommended books Prescribed titles = Books students need to buy/ Available in book shops and study collection Recommended titles= Available in study collection Add to my booklist Choose the correct course code Choose the correct semester

17. Click on OK

18. Click on the course code to verify the information

19. Verify that the correct books are prescribed/ recommended Bookshops only receive information regarding prescribed books
