Have you been to the Singapore Zoological Garden? What animals can you find?
2
Today’s Lesson We are going to look at some animals found in Africa. Can you guess these animals?
6
Most people who safari in Africa hope to see the "BIG 5". The Big Five refers to five of Africa's greatest wild animals - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.
7
What do you call these images if they represented in black solid shapes? Silhouette!
8
A silhouette is the image of a person, an object or scene represented as a solid shape of a single colour, usually black, its edges matching the outline of the subject. The interior of a silhouette is basically featureless, and the whole is typically presented on a light background, usually white, or none at all.

YOUR TASK Close your eyes and imagine that you are sitting on a jeep, making your way across the wildlife in Africa. You feel a little scared as you sense some dangers from the wild animals. You peek through the window. To your amazement, you see a beautiful and breath-taking sight. The sun is setting and you can see the silhouette of the wild animals and trees. Your task: Show us what you see!
10
Let’s create ART! Step 1: Paint the background that you see. (Use warm colours) Leave to dry. (Hmmm… what is warm colour?) Step 2: Find pictures of animals and trees from magazines. Step 3: Place the pictures on a black paper and cut out its shape carefully. Step 4: Paste the cut-out carefully.
