Average Precipitation: 50- 130 cm per year Temperature range: 20 C – 30C Plants species: grasses and scattered trees Animal species: lions, hyenas, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, birds, and insects. Geographical location: Africa, south America, Australia, Abiotic Factors: Summers are hot and rainy, winters are cool and dry.

Predator/Prey Relationships One example of a predator/prey relationship in a Savanna is between a lion and a Zebra.

Endangered Species The African elephant’s natural habitat is forested savanna. Poaching for ivory is the primary cause of its endangered status.

Effects of a human on my ecosystem (: The human population varies as the savanna climate changes each year. The rough population spread is: ranging from two to over 100 people per square mile and roughly 45% live in urban centres, otherwise population figures are hard to come by when looking at the savanna.
