Reference HW : Platform 1.0 proposal SPS use of the board : SPS will use this board to deliver Platform 1.0 to PCS for this program, with the above list of ICs/peripherals, However, SPS wishes to demonstrate it on its own and the PCS ips have to be clearly identified by PCS from the beginning of the project so that SPS can put in place a backup device for external demoes and other potential customers (ie LCD, Camera) Main chipset : RF+BB+PM The RFMD solution chosen by PCS is existing and up & running. SPS has to conclude the nda with RFMD and PCS will provide SPS a reference dsign for this radio. SPS (platform HW) will develop the RF daughtercard and the main board with SPS chips (SCM+Atlas + standard peripherals : SIM, MMC,memories…) Accessories & Peripherals PCS is choosing the accessories and peripherals of the platform : Memories, Display Camera Keypad Matrix WLAN chipset BT chipset GPS chipset, So the dependency list will show what SPS needs from PCS to deliver the reference board (datasheets, samples and support for design & debug) Daughtercard Approach SPS Assumption : Chipset is SCM-A11, Atlas and RFMD – PCS has to confirm Atlas

Reference HW : Topics dicussed RF daughtercard concept : agreed by PCS Common definition of RF connector/interface : SPS to make a proposal, PCS will review PCS ip : Are there some critical ones ? PCS will be defining what has to remain Motorola internal in their Brassboard requirements, and will have a veto on schematics. SPS use of the board : option for SPS to connect SPS RF & display, camera or memories if needed : SPS definition of the board and schematics to be reviewed by PCS PCS support for RFMD definiton :Contact name, Documents required : ICs Specification, ICD document, Test Plan : PCS’d rather we sign the nda and go directly to rfmd, but agrees on delivering us a reference design of the edge rfmd radio + support for board layout + support for debug. RF validation acceptance criteria definition : The common debug phase of RF with BB has to be agreed upon between SPS and PCS as well as the validation plan Tools required : RHI, Labview/Labwindows programs for RF control : PCS prefeered collaboration model is « embedded team » for RHI co-developments.RHI will integrate the BB validation, palladium option for early rhi scripts to be discusses PCS support for accessories: docs & samples & support : SPS to show a planning specifiying when technical inputs are needed in the platform development flow (Anne), ie memories specs are needed for CAD symbol capture Process : doc reviews, schematic reviews,PCB/layout reviews : to be agreed upon between the PCS & SPS HW team, both teams agree on doing common reviews of schematics & layout. Board Quantities : PCS wants :100, 25% P0 and 75% P1, with support to teams (repairs, upgrades)
