2. Concept  The 2008 ASEAN Day for Disaster Management should be organized in such a way that it can make more impacts to the people. Besides, ADDM should be recognized by the general public in the region as a regular event.  The ARPDM recommends possible activities as a means to cerebrate ADDM including seminar, lecture, debate, press conference, disaster drill and exercise, risk map drawing contest, poster contest, and distribution of educational materials, exhibition and risk reduction activities. 3. Theme “Disaster Resilient Family”.  In 2008, Thailand proposes ASEAN to conduct a poster contest under the theme “Disaster Resilient Family”. 4. Methodology 1. Announcement : Announcement inviting painting work on the specified theme will be made through all media platforms. Painting work shall be sent to the ASEAN Secretariat. 2. Judging Committee: Judging Committee will be established. The committee would comprise ACDM Focal Points, Representatives from ASEAN Secretariate, International Organizations, NGOs, Private Sectors and Educational Agencies at a regional level. 3. Judgment: To convene the Meeting of the Judging Committee to find the winner and runner up. Rules for the judging will be established and followed. 5. Methodology 4. Reward: Rewards will be awarded to the first price winner and the first and second runner up. All submitted painting works will be used as the exhibition items on the International Day for Disaster Reduction. 5. Award Presenting Ceremony: All the winners will be invited to receiving the respective winning prizes on the International Day for Disaster Reduction. 6.
