7 Future Task Group Activities -continue TG also agreed that we need to start work on a review of fire type testing specifications API 6FA, 6FD to see if we can harmonize the requirements between the two documents. Also during that action review API 607 for quarter-turn valves to determine if it may contain some parts that would be of value to revision of both API 6FA and 6FD. TG has start work on as new API 6DXSS Actuator sizing and mounting kits for subsea pipeline valves. In 2016 the TG is discussing the possibility of developing a new API 6DHP specification. This document will address the need for 5K,10K and 15K working pressures. We may look at higher temperature as well for pipeline valves. The justification is that end-users want the larger bore sizes and end-to end of a 6D pipeline valves ( 12” and higher) that address higher working pressures/temperature and mandatory quality control requirements.
