2. Your Task… Despite the failure at Roanoke, the seemingly successful colonies of Jamestown and Plymouth have given King James hope. You have been selected by the King himself to help build new colonies in North America. All of England is eager to reap the benefits of this uncharted land.

3. Your Task… It is your job to recruit new settlers from England to live in a colony in America. There is going to be a fair, much like an activities fair, where settlers are coming to get information on different colonies in which they can start their new lives. You and a partner will be creating a poster for the fair. On the day of the fair your team will be persuading potential settlers to move to your colony.

4. Your Task… use pages 88, and Ch 3 Sec. 2 for New England Colonies Ch 3 Sec. 3 for Middle Colonies Ch 3 Sec. 4 for Southern Colonies. Research your colony- including - Location of colony - Founder and Reasons for founding - Religion - Type of Government in this colony - Industry- how did they make money - Way of life- Daily life activities - Advantages and disadvantages of this area

5. Your Task… Create a recruitment poster The name of the colony A catchy slogan Logo or seal of your colony A map of the colony ALL information on THE CHART (you are going to be the main source of information on your colony for the class) Do not simply list this information, make it appealing and enticing
