8 On the WinShape TAG Field Trip, you will have a chance to learn about being a leader and what makes a leader great. Some people are born to lead, and you will very quickly be able to tell who those people are based on the way they act with their teams. However, if a leader does not take into account the opinions and ideas of the other people they are working with, then they will not succeed. At WinShape you will learn that all leaders can either have a positive or negative effect on their team based on their attitude towards others. It’s up to you to decide if you want to be a positive leader or a negative one. At WinShape, you will realize how important it is to have a good team that you trust with you. Most, if not all, of the activities that you can do at WinShape require that you have a team of other people with you to support you and help you. The fun, inventive games will improve your team work skills while encouraging you to form bonds with people you would otherwise not be able to get to know very well. Working with others is a skill that needs to be practiced. On this field trip, you will also learn that collaborating as a team and using everyone’s ideas can make the team even better as a whole. Finally, at WinShape, you will also learn a lot about yourself. You will learn how well you work in a team, whether or not you are a leader, whether you communicate well with others, and whether or not you enjoy working in and contributing to a group. You might also be able to learn about and overcome some of your fears if they come into play on one of the elements of the ropes course. When you overcome your fears, you will instantly have more self-confidence and feel better about yourself. This field trip will help you develop and work on crucial skills that you will definitely need to use in the future, and it’s a lot of fun too! - Sabrina YOURSELF LEADERSHIP TEAMWORK
