5 + B1 explain the process of cell division What is the role of cell division, why is it important? What are the important structures in the cell associated with cell division? Where is the “information” that makes organisms unique stored? What is that molecule like? What processes occur in somatic cells vs gametes?

6 + B2 relate the processes of cell division and emerging reproductive technologies to embryonic development We briefly looked at reproductive technologies, you should understand what a GMO is, selective breeding, artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization

7 + B3 compare sexual and asexual reproduction in terms of advantages and disadvantages Be familiar with different types of asexual reproduction including fragmentation, binary fission, vegetative reproduction, spore formation, and budding What are advantages and disadvantages of asexual reproduction? Be familiar with different variations of sexual reproduction, and unique adaptations including hermaphrodites, conjugation, external fertilization, internal fertilization as well as differences between marsupials, monotremes, and placental mammals. What are advantages and disadvantages of sexual reproduction.
