3. Board Footage BOARD FEET: "Board Feet" is a measurement of lumber volume. A board foot is equal to 144 cubic inches of wood. Actually it's easy to calculate using the following formula: (Thickness x Width x Length) / 144 = Board Feet

4. Project cost Materials, fasteners, hinges, etc….. Plus 10% for sanding abrasives and finish materials. Completed Project Bill of materials with lumber cost is required prior to beginning project. On the Project Bill of Materials, must include the type of lumber to be used on the project.
