Authority, leadership and provision should be the responsibility of the family head (usually the Father) The Father should set the tone, direction & rules To live in understanding way to honour their wives and model submission and service Submission, support and respect is expected from the woman Unity and cooperation in children nurturing, training and discipline Unnecessary competition and rebellion deprives the family of God’s promised benefits Lack of Trust will weaken & destroy the relationship Separation, divorce and remarriage “uncomely” behaviour of children raised in Christian homes Going into marriage for wrong reasons Slothfulness, improper home keeping, unconducive home environment. 8. Qualities of An Excellent Leader These should be cultivated and nurtured. Character, Charisma/Influence, Commitment & Communication Competence (no mediocrity), acquire knowledge & speak with confidence Courage & problem solving Discernment, Insight, Foresight and being pro active (1 Chro. 12:32 Children of Issachar who understood the times, Psalm 37:3-9) Focus, Initiative, Passion, Relationships, Responsibility Self Discipline, Servanthood & Teachability. 9. Pressure & Integrity Integrity may never be confirmed until you are under pressure. Who are you under pressure? Pressure reveals area of weakness Pressure exposes area of hurt It will also expose areas of frustration How do you connect to integrity? Isaiah 28:16 God lays the foundation He lays stone but called it foundation. Remember where God is taking you to.
