3.1 Dynamics p. 70 - 71 Review of Newton’s Laws of Motion Newton’s First Law of Motion If there is no net force acting on a body, it will continue to move at a constant velocity. Newton’s Second Law of Motion The acceleration of a body is directly proportional to the net force acting on it and inversely proportional to its mass. Acceleration is in the same direction as the net force. F = ma

3.1 Dynamics p. 73 - 75 Types of Forces There are many different forces that can act on an object. Examples of some common forces are Friction, Normal, Tension, Thrust and Weight. Newton’s Third Law of Motion When one body exerts a force on a second body, the second body exerts an equal force on the first body, but I the opposite direction.
