3. Specialization The devotion of certain resources to a specific task. For example- teachers, doctors, ? It helps bring about experts who can do things better and more efficiently

4. Division of Labor The act of splitting up work into smaller tasks. – Example- teaching social studies or math, coaching one position on the team. This led to factories and mass production. – Business organizations – assembly lines: Henry Ford/ automobile plants – Increases in technology (invention and innovation) Invention- any form of technology to meet a need Innovation- changing or improving the way things are done.
