By Jackson C.

 Changing the order of addition or multiplication does not change the sum/product.  Examples :  2 + 3=3 + 2  7 * 9=9 * 7

 Changing the grouping of addition or subtraction does not change the sum/product.  Examples :  (2+3)+5=(3+5)+2  (4*5)*10=(10*5)*4

 Addition : Any number plus zero will not change.  Multiplication : The product of 1 and any number or variable will stay the same.  Examples :  4+0=4  9*1=9

 The product of a number and a sum is equal to the sum of the numbers in addition and the multiplication number.  Examples :  5(3+1)= 5*3 + 5*1  a(b+c)= a*b + a*c

 If you add, subtract, multiply or divide on one side you must do it to the other.  Examples :  (9+6)*7=(10+5)*7

 Addition : For every number, add/subtract the opposite.  Multiplication : For every number, multiply/ divide 1 times/divide by the number.  Examples :  n+(-n)=0  n*(1/n)=1
