7. After years discussions UK and Denmark and Ireland join in 1973. Greece join in 1981. Portugal and spain join in 1986. Austria, Finland and Sweden join in 1995. So now EEC had 15 countries.

8. end of 1992 EEC was working together to protect the environment. Richer countries helped poorer countries A person living a country in the EEC, was free to go or live and find work in EEC other countries. Policeman from different countries help catch criminals,drug smugglers and terrorists.

On 1 January 2007 Bulgaria and Romania join the group. ✦ Now EU has 27countries. ✦
