1. WORK EXPERIENCE 4 th July - 8th July 2016

2. SELF PLACEMENTS This is for students who have a definite placement. If this is what you would like, you need to start making enquiries now. Once a company, a shop or a school has agreed to give you a placement, ask them to complete a self placement form.

3. SELF PLACEMENT FORMS You should ask your form tutor for a form. Tutors will have them from Monday onwards.

4. SELF PLACEMENT FORMS Your tutors will be interested to know where you are thinking of going so remember to tell them. The forms must be returned to me by Friday 11th December 2015 - fully completed.

5. ‘SCHOOL’ PLACEMENTS There will be a bank of placements which we in school have found. After the Christmas holidays, I will visit tutor groups to find out what the remaining students would like to do.

6. Not everyone will get a placement which matches their dreams! This is an experience of work! After work experience, you may find you change your mind about your future plans!

7. NEXT STEPS There is a letter for parents which explains all this information. The letter also requests a contribution of £10 towards the cost of Work Experience. There will be meeting for your parents and you on Wednesday 11 th November. This will include a small careers fair. Reminder letter after half term.
