6. Our Italian story Rhenus Logistics S.p.A.
We have been operating in Italy since 1872 under the name Gottardo Ruffoni.  
Rondine operates in Italy since 1950: we had a key role as a pioneer in the transport sector between Italy and Eastern Europe.
 In January 2000, from the merger of the two market leaders in shipping and international transport, emerged a new company: Gottardo Ruffoni Rondine Spedizioni Internazionale SpA. The new company operating on the Italian market, capable of serving the entire new Europe under a single management.
In March 2004, Gottardo Ruffoni Rondine became part of the IHG group, which was acquired in May 2006 by the multinational group Rhenus, based in Germany, a logistics company with over employees and more than 4.1 billion euro annual turnover.
To complete the integration, since January 2009 the company name has become
Rhenus Logistics S.p.A.

17. Warehouse activities
Our warehouses are completely covered by radio frequency receiver (Cisco Access Point)
Warehouse people work paperless , all information are inserted and controlled by Wi Fi Barcode reader
A Windows software (called Log Manager) manage activities , data flow and interface with suppliers and customers
Interfaces permit us to link our warehouse management system with several Customer computer system

18. Quality certification
The constant attention to the customers‘ satisfaction has allowed Rhenus Logistics SpA to obtain in 1997 the Quality Certificate, granted by SGS ICS.
The certification has been confirmed for the next three years (2012) according to ISO 9001:2008 rules.
