3 1. Eat lots of food that is good for the brain and much less food that is not good for the brain.

5 3. Get plenty of exercise, especially exercise which makes your heart beat faster.

6 4. Get plenty of sleep.

7 5. Do not smoke cigarettes, take drugs or drink too much alcohol Some drugs are medicines and these can help us to recover when we are ill.

8 6. Prevent injuries to the brain by protecting your head.
